palm tree, originally known as Palm Trees on an Island, Thailand and known as Palm Trees in Windows Live Messenger is a user account/display picture included in Windows XP and Windows Live Messenger, licensed from Getty Images. It was most likely taken by Ingo Jezierski (based on the photo's Getty ID being between other photos he took), who also took Paradise from Windows 2000 and Me. It depicts palm trees on an unknown island at Thailand. It was taken down from Getty for unknown reasons, considering Jezierski's other images are still online. It is possible Getty no longer felt it met their standards, which could explain why a few images from photographers that still have contracts with Getty have been taken down.
