Roger Ressmeyer (died August 2018) was an American stock photographer and filmmaker. His photography generally focused on space and science-related subjects. He has taken three images that were used as Windows wallpapers: Solar Eclipse from Windows 2000, along with Radiance and Stonehenge from Windows XP. He was represented by Corbis, who bought his Starlight Photo Agency in 1995, which he founded in 1981; therefore it is likely that the three images of his that were used in Windows originate from there. He passed away due to a stroke in August 2018, and most of his images are no longer commercially available.
