skater, originally known as Below Shot of Boy on Skateboard and known as Skateboarder in Windows Live Messenger is a user account/display picture included in Windows XP and Windows Live Messenger, licensed from PhotoDisc. It is unknown who took it, but it was credited on Getty Images to GeoStock. It is a below shot of a teenage boy jumping on a skateboard. Whereas the original background color was navy blue, Microsoft recolored it to green for both XP and Messenger. While it is no longer available from Getty for unknown reasons, an alternate shot of the same skateboarder remains available to this day.
