Solar Eclipse, originally known as Sun's Corona During a Total Eclipse, is a wallpaper included in Windows 2000 and Me, licensed from Corbis. It was taken by Roger Ressmeyer, who also took Windows XP's Radiance and Stonehenge. It depicts the sun's corona during a solar eclipse at Mauna Kea Observatories, Hawaii, USA. While the original image was in color, the version in 2000 and Me is greyscale. It was transferred to Getty Images when VCG acquired Corbis in 2016, but became a restricted asset in early 2020 when Getty discontinued rights-managed licensing in favor of royalty free licensing; it was not converted to royalty free, so it was taken down in late 2020.
