Talk:Windows 8 Previews
Information about some of the wallpapers that can be helpful for articles but not for searching the source
IMG10 from Windows 8 build 8148
Taken in Memaloose State Park (US, Colombia)
Also it can't be found by reverse image search
so there's 99.99% chance it was taken by MS employee
IMG3 from Win8 Consumer Preview

Not sure if it's real stock owner because of upload date
UPD: uploader's profile is pretty random; it's probably fake origin
img105 from Windows 8 Developer Preview
Can be easily found by reverse image search
Original seems to be uploaded to some website but then it was deleted or website just went offline.
Also found this version, it's a little bit more saturated and was taken a little bit higher than original one.
It might be used in some other Win8 builds but I have no information about it: https://ibb.co/mCZPxY2
Yeah, I think img10 was taken by a Microsoft employee, judging by the use of a low end bridge camera and the photo's overall amateur feel to them. As for that img3 link, I don't think that's the actual origin, because it looks zoomed in there. Wallpapers get stolen and submitted as stock photos quite often. I'm pretty certain that img10 is from an MS employee. It looks way too amateurish to be from a stock photo. I agree with Glosswired that it may be an unofficial source, though I do think it could be an actual stock photo somewhere. openrain502r 06:45, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
img100
Extracting the files from 8128, it seems img100 is using the non-saturated image version. I'm unsure which was the last build, my guess would be 8133, though I haven't confirmed this yet. Plan to grab it so I can check if my theory is true. openrain502r 06:42, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Reversed fish wallpaper
A bug in Windows 8 build 8277 showing a wallpaper that looks like 8250's but the fish is reversed in the Desktop tile in the Start screen (https://youtu.be/AteBz9gcX2U?t=272). That image can be found in twinui.dll
in build 8195 and 8277. 8186's wallpaper is obscured by the DaRT window, but the build may use the one with reversed fish.
